Komatipoort

Where the Rivers Meet

Situated at the meeting of the Crocodile and Komati Rivers, this warm tropical town is positioned precisely on the border between South Africa and Mozambique. It is the closest major centre to the Crocodile Bridge Gate, which is famous for having high concentrations of wildlife in the Kruger National Park. Beyond safari, the town is a vital rail and road link for international trade through the Lebombo Border Post. Visitors enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, local tiger fishing opportunities, and the unique sight of the Kambaku golf course. At this course, hippos are frequently spotted near the greens. Its proximity to both the park and the coast makes it a unique geographic crossroads for travellers. The area serves as a practical and scenic base for exploring the eastern Lowveld.
